Wokeness has become a tool of economic terrorism rather than a tool for further equality

Woke (/ˈwoʊk/ WOHK) is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination". Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as sexism, and has also been used as shorthand for American Left ideas involving identity politics and social justice, such as the notion of white privilege and slavery reparations for African Americans

Over the last decade, there has been this push to wake up and recognise the injustices done to African Americans especially. Frankly, it was identity politics of another kind.

Soon, the movement was adopted by LGBTQIA and other marginalised groups who have also felt discriminated against. But the single group that has wielded it more effectively than any others are the African-Americans. 

Let me also tell you they have done absolutely NOTHING to reduce discrimination. The only thing they seem to be very good at is getting offended by anything and everything around them. Their latest target has been literature.

SEVERAL AGATHA CHRISTIE novels have been edited to remove racist language. Poirot and Miss Marple mysteries written between 1920 and 1976 are among those with new editions with words and descriptions amended to strip them of offensive language, particularly passages that involve characters portrayed outside the U.K.

The English were racist. These novels are a reflection of and an encapsulation of the racism of the times. Removing it is tantamount to re-writing history. Also, future generations will grow up thinking Agatha Christie was a saint.

A report in U.K. newspaper The Telegraph reveals that ahead of the reissue of the Bond novels in April to mark 70 years of “Casino Royale,” the first book in the series, rights holders Ian Fleming Publications Ltd commissioned a review by sensitivity readers.

Each book will carry the disclaimer, “This book was written at a time when terms and attitudes which might be considered offensive by modern readers were commonplace. A number of updates have been made in this edition, while keeping as close as possible to the original text and the period in which it is set,” The Telegraph said.

James Bond is by far the most misogynistic character created by the English. It was popular. Still is. Rewriting the books sanitises who they are. 

New editions of legendary works by British author Roald Dahl are being edited to remove words that could be deemed offensive to some readers, according to the late writer's company.

Dahl wrote such books as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

British newspaper The Telegraph first reported that the publisher of Dahl's books, Puffin, made hundreds of changes to original texts of the author's well-known children's books.

The character Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is no longer called "fat." Instead he is described as "enormous," The Telegraph reports.

Fat is no longer fat!!

It is stupid and reckless to do this to literature that existed in the past. If you have such a big problem and people are so sensitive then there could probably be a warning on the first page but re-writing is tantamount to erasing history.

What next, rewrite the quotes of Winston Churchill to make him look like a nice man? Or are would going to redraft Mein Kampf to make it less anti-sematic. 

These people were turds because they reflected the state of society at the time. Cleaning it up makes it seem like society was much different than it indeed was. “What was described by Roald Dahl as Ugly?” will become a trivia question. This is wrong!

“My great-grandmother would not have wanted to offend anyone,” said James Prichard, Christie’s great-grandson, and the chairman and chief executive of Agatha Christie Ltd. “I don’t believe we need to leave what I would term offensive language in our books, because frankly all I care about is that people can enjoy Agatha Christie stories forever.”

Why are the publishers doing this? Well, it’s always money! If it is not offensive, they will sell more units, make more money, and prosper. Simple. But while pandering to the woke community all they are managing to do is sanitise history.

History is not here to please you but to present facts. 

The woke movement has just become about recognising the economic force of African Americans and the moral push that can cause certain things to be sold and not others.

A movement that should be about political change and systemic change has been subverted into one that forces superficial changes only for the purposes of economic terrorism.
