Tamed Man
Of all the species on Earth that have been tamed, the one that has been tamed by the species itself is Humans.
If you are a household with a pet and you were to bring in a new one, there would be a lot of face-offs and territorial aggression to begin with. It would take time for the two animals to get used to one another and settle down. They would learn to co-exist.
In the wild, the same face-off might result in one of them being chased away or perhaps dead.
The two types of grass that are most important to human survival, wheat and rice have to be protected from weeds and pests. Have you heard of swathes of grass being dead in the forests or grasslands disappearing due to weeds or pests? They just don’t get along well with other species and that is to their advantage.
Much like any other animal, we humans also get uncomfortable in the presence of another unfamiliar human. The fact that we are able to remain calm and not get very aggressive is due to the fact that we have been tamed.
Humans are a tamed species. We even have a word to describe a person who is highly tamed - an extrovert. A person who is calm in the presence of unfamiliar people does not seek to avoid but in fact, actively seeks out strangers.
In some ways, the degree of extroversion of a person is an indication of how much that gene pool has been tamed!
In our modern society that is driven by networks, information and connections, the wilder your genetic make-up, the poorer you are likely to be. An introvert just won’t be able to inculcate the networks and connections needed to get ahead in life. In fact, even if the network is served on a platter, they may not know how to take advantage of it.
The tamer you are the more likely your success is.
