You go to a store to buy a pen. You see the pen is priced at $10. You had seen the same pen at another store for $1 but it is half an hour away. Would you buy the pen for $10 or take the trip.
Of course you will take the trip.
If you are going to buy a laptop and you see it is priced at $1009 and you know another store that is half an hour away which is selling it for $1000 would you take the trip?
In both cases you are trying to price time. How can that time have different value based on what you are buying or how much it cost.
You may not even take that trip for the laptop of the price was $1030.
We spend our lives pinching pennies and blowing dollars.
Nice Analogy , Never thought of this, Vivek what is your take on British Tax breaks , is Britain govt much dumber than Sri Lanka, Pakistan ?
