Mental Violence
The western media is a tool for inflicting mental violence. It is a shame that many around the world have completely become numb as a result.
The Joke of the week is:
Qatar is a very lucky country. It is the quickest USA has left a middle eastern country.
It is all downhill from here…
When you hit another person, it is physical violence. When you tell someone things that seem to conflict with the truth and further reinforce it we call it gaslighting. I think the perfect word for it is mental violence.
Mental violence comes in various forms other than gaslighting. The western media is the greatest perpetrator of mental violence. I am frankly tired of being subjected to it day in and day out.
Whenever you hear the media say something and you have no other option but to say “What the fuck” out loud, rest assured that you are being subjected to mental violence.
A perfect example of mental violence would be Hitler being concerned about the human rights of the Palestinian people.
The Western media subjects us to the mental equivalent every day.
China is often described as a repressive country by western media. The people have no freedom, they are constantly censored and they do not have freedom of the press and so on.
All this while a witch-hunt is underway for Julian Assange. Edward Snowden had to get Russian citizenship. If the west is such a shining beacon of transparency then why are you chasing them across the globe? At least, the Chinese reporters are able to escape to other countries and live in peace; the same cannot be said of Americans or Europeans who leak something big. No place is safe for them.
You might say these were national secrets. Sure, but whatever was leaked was for the most part wrong-doings and abuse of power. In corporate lingo, they are called whistle-blowers and provided protection; not chased till they cannot find another place to rest.
The English could not even swallow criticism of their dead queen. The people protesting the monarchy in England upon the death of the queen were arrested. From Edinburgh to London to Oxford, I am sure this is not at all repressive.
If there is a protest in the Middle East or China, the western media would be quick to pounce on it and paint it as an uprising against the system.
Communist Party officials are using decades-old tactics, along with some new ones, to quash China’s most widespread protests in decades.
Public security personnel and vehicles have blanketed potential protest sites. Police officers are searching some residents’ phones for prohibited apps. Officials are going to the homes of would-be protesters to warn them against illegal activities and are taking some away for questioning. And censors are scrubbing social media.
Xi Jinping is staying silent, intent on projecting business as usual. Yesterday, the People’s Daily featured his talks with the visiting Mongolian president and a front-page celebration of Xi’s decade in power, but did not mention the protests, China’s most widespread since the Tiananmen Square pro-democracy movement of 1989.

In the context of the George Floyd protests one could write:
The President and other officials in America used their police force to quash widespread protests across the country.
The local and federal law enforcement officers blanketed the protest sites. Police officers detained many individuals who were involved in peaceful protests. Protesters were warned by police that if they continued their protests, they could face consequences.
President Trump and the Republican Party heavily criticized the protesters and painted them as lawbreakers and troublemakers. They also reiterated that what the police did was absolutely right and that they would be authorized to use much greater force and gear that should only be put to use on a battlefield.
The current vilification of the Chinese lockdowns and the corresponding protests can also be reported as:
While the Americans let COVID claims millions of lives and also allowed many millions more to fall into lifelong medical debt, China has prudently kept its population from such hardships. Freedom is not free at all but comes with many sacrifices. The Chinese people seem to be tired of making sacrifices to save the lives of other citizens. Just like a parent must take hard decisions on behalf of their child even though the child may not like it, the Chinese premiership is taking the hard decisions and facing the brunt for it.
When the Iran football team protested, it is painted as a country-wide uprising. When Colin Kaepernick took a knee his career was destroyed!
Obviously, there is no black or white here, but all shades of grey. The thing that troubles me is that the west will paint anything outside their borders as dark grey or black and the same thing within their borders as maybe just off-white.
They can do no wrong…
The west is oh so concerned about human rights in China and cannot stop harping about the Uighur Muslims and their state. The same west did not authorize the TRIPS waiver for vaccines in 2021. Millions of lives could have been saved if the vaccines were available. It was not to be.
They claimed that it would erode the bedrock of trust in patents. It was not Trump but the Biden administration under pressure from the Pharma lobby that blocked it. They don’t give a damn about human lives or human rights. As if to offer evidence the Biden administration just last week shoehorned the bill to stop rail workers from protesting.
What were they protesting for, you ask?
Paid Sick Leave.
Something that people in many “underdeveloped nations” take for granted.
The US is one of the countries in the world that has zero days of mandatory pregnancy leave. It is only joined by Suriname and Papua New Guinea.
The US is one of those nations where states can render abortion entirely illegal! Look at the company that the US keeps! This policy is only shared by countries like Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and some African nations. Probably why they immigrate in numbers, must feel like home.
There are sections of workers who have no protection in the event of sickness and must depend on their employers for insurance. If you live in the US without insurance, you have the life expectancy of a hunter-gatherer. Wait, actually less, because someone could shoot you on your trip to the mall.
Human rights my ass.
They just care about what kind of story they can spin to put pressure on the other.
And then they meet a foe such as China who do not care about their virtue signalling and virtue games. So, to irritate them and push them out of their position, America goes and makes a bunch of statements about Taiwan. Absolutely and completely unnecessary visits are made and passions are stirred so that they can get some reaction.
During the Second World War, the Indian Army did quite a bit on French and German battlefields. The men from the K6 company and 3000 mules were transported from India to supply the battlefronts. These men mostly from what would be Punjab, Pakistan today went to fight for the British. No movie or book on Dunquerque would tell you this, but a large number of Indian soldiers were evacuated from the port.
While the Indian forces were in France still trying to aid the war against the Germans, the British and the Americans decided that there was a need to engage in bombing raids by air. They knew that their own forces were down on the ground, but Churchill said, “sacrifice is part of war” and bombed his own men. This would not even qualify as a war crime, just murder.
Let us not even get started with the extermination of the Natives in America which was carried out as recently as 1897 in Nevada.
More recently, the war in Iraq was started with doctored evidence which has since been proven and accepted by the likes of Colin Powell. It left thousands dead, an entire economy destroyed, and a country handed to ISIS. Who pays for those war crimes?
So when the Americans wish to talk about the war crimes of the Russians in Ukraine, it actually feels like Hitler weeping for the Palestinians.
Everything that the west does is purely in the service of self. Western media manages to somehow paint it as benevolence.
The U.S. is giving Ukraine $53 million for equipment to repair its battered electricity grid after weeks of Russian aerial strikes. And NATO’s secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, reaffirmed its longstanding commitment that Ukraine would one day join the alliance.
Antony Blinken, the U.S. secretary of state, made the aid pledge yesterday on the sidelines of a two-day conclave of NATO foreign ministers. The aid is in addition to the $55 million in energy sector support that the U.S. has already promised Ukraine.
A senior official said the U.S. hopes the aid will also spur more donations from other nations, as a harsh winter looms. The Americans are aiming to assemble a working group to help Ukraine protect and repair its infrastructure as Russian strikes deprive millions of residents of power and water.
Allies: NATO countries have so far provided some $40 billion in weaponry to Ukraine, about the size of France’s annual defense budget. Over the weekend, the E.U. announced that it was preparing to deliver 200 transformers and 40 heavy generators.

The juxtaposition is incredible. The west provided $40 Billion in military aid. Equal to the French National Defence Budget to Ukraine. All of that money essentially went back to Raytheon, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Snecma Group, and the like, where the very lawmakers who passed the bill would be considerable shareholders.
But when it comes to giving money to help Ukrainians build electricity grids somehow they can only find a thousandth of that money!
These people were not aiding Ukraine, they were propping up their own shareholdings with government money.
Also, Brittney Griner was released in exchange for Viktor Bout. Brittney was arrested for carrying drugs. Viktor is an arms dealer. The argument is that Brittney was carrying so little she should not have been arrested. Agreed. But then…
If we are in the business of arresting arms dealers, the entire US government should be in prison.
Finally, all the hue and cry about the data from TikTok being accessible to the Chinese government. They want us to believe that all of the data that Facebook, Twitter, Google, Apple, and Microsoft have are sacrosanct because they are in the hands of the Americans? The American government has no access to all of that data at all?
In the first 6 months of 2022 alone the US government placed over 126,000 data requests on Facebook alone. This is what Facebook reports by the way. There may still be far more data requests placed by the greatest terrorist organization ever founded, the CIA, that would certainly not be reported.
They are trying to create this perception that somehow all of the data being in the US is safer. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The mental violence of painting everything that is happening around the world as negative undertakings by brute regimes whereas anything that happens in the west is just bad circumstances is never-ending.
