Hiding in Plain Sight
New was supposed to be reporting facts. A lot of news today is about moulding facts to fit the story.
America is the land of the free and the people value freedom over all else. Given this fact, one would assume they would be all FOR transparency and openness.
Even the Declaration of Independence which the country treats in the highest esteem says:
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security

In plain English, if you know someone is consistently trying to use their position to acquire absolute power, even if that is the government, you must overthrow it.
But when you look at how Edward Snowden was treated in the aftermath of his revelation; it was in stark contrast to the above-stated value. He brought to light something wrong. The USA was involved in activities that it normally accuses Russia of doing. If it is wrong for China it should be wrong for the USA as well.
What happened thereafter was brilliant!
Edward Snowden was painted as a “Leak”, while the word traitor was not explicitly used, it was implied and the news organisations readily obliged. He had to escape the US and seek asylum in Russia which according to the US is run by a Despot! Irony died a quick painless death.
The President at the time was Barack Obama. The Nobel Peace Prize-winning saint of saints.
When a Chinese person reveals secrets about the government that person is a “Chinese Activist”. When an American does, he is a traitor!
Language is always used to hide things in plain sight. The truth while said is made to appear different because it is projected as such.
One could say - Extremist Anti-US Activist Osama Bin Laden was murdered with family in the night by US militants in an unauthorised extraterritorial operation
This would not even be misrepresenting what really happened, it is just another way of wording it.
Whether a person is an activist or a terrorist is simply determined by whether the individual in question is aligned with the US or not.
When a black person is shot in the US by a police officer for lifting a finger without permission, this is never a violation of human rights. Incidents in other countries would immediately be highlighted as human rights violations and the Secretary of State would be aching to make a statement about how “deeply concerned” they are.
Which brings me to the current conflict in Israel.
The really interesting thing is that when ongoing atrocities exist, there is no coverage of the same in the media. Pro-Palentine protests have been quashed for years. When you do not let people voice themselves peacefully, they do it violently.
There is a tendency to completely leave out the Zionist Holocaust (not the Nazi one, the Jewish one where they killed thousands of Palestinians) that created Israel, which in the Western world is treated much the same way that China treats the Tiananmen Squares incident.
What happened?? Did something happen?
The treatment of people in Gaza is an order of magnitude worse than what happens in Xinjiang province in China.
If the Uighur Muslims were to engage in extremist activity against China, I am certain the US would be applauding the “terror” because it would suit their narrative and their geopolitical goals. When the same thing happens in Israel, it is a terrorist attack.
Israel is a country that has been rocked by protests since the beginning of this year because the government was making judicial changes that aimed to make it more despotic.
What they decide to hide or not report is just as important as what they choose to report and how they choose to report it.
Israel declared war on Hamas but is bombing civilians in Gaza. Much like the US wanted to dismantle Al Qaeda but attacked the Taliban in Afghanistan. At least the US had the excuse that the Taliban was harbouring Bin Laden (which it was not and he was found in Pakistan). Israel does not even have that excuse. They are engaging in naked genocide and America is trying to endlessly spin it.
They wanted 1 million people to move out of Gaza in 24 hours so that they no longer feel emasculated. Just to put that in perspective they wanted a population equal to that of the state of Estonia to just clear out so that they could destroy their homes. The excuse was that this would help root out Hamas.
The US press can see War Crimes in Ukraine but in Gaza; what war crimes?
I am sure the Israelis are targeting civilians with a great deal of humanity the way the Americans did in Iraq where they killed countless civilians with their cruise missiles.
When a more powerful aggressor attacks the weak, whether to call it an unnecessary abuse of power or rightful retaliation is just a question of who America happens to be supplying Weapons to at that time. The juxtaposition of Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Palestine provides a stark contrast.
Biden said that he was sure Hamas attacked the Hospital in Palestine because his Department of Defence said so. I think the headline should be…
Organisation that claimed the presence of WMDs in Iraq now offers evidence for the Hospital attack in Gaza.
The Octogenarian President even made a statement in Israel that the hospital attacks seem to have been done by the “other team”. What does he think this is some sport? All of the media exists merely to reprint this.
In the meantime, the only legitimate source of news from the US seems to be The Onion
They have no leanings. They are neither right nor left. They don’t care about right and wrong. They have no moral compass. They just point out the absurdity of what is the United States of America.
