Covid Returns Returns
China had been the only country that was intent on maintaining a zero covid policy. They dropped the policy and COVID is running amok. How far will it travel this time around?
I had written a piece about the Bomb Cyclone in the US but then there were other things that pissed me off more. So I released that one without distribution. If you wish to read it you can visit this link.
From the producers of hits such as Covid and Covid Returns, the next instalment of the saga of the pandemic is here!
3 months ago China was instituting lockdowns across large cities and the western media was screaming repression.
Repression…
Repression…
They were not concerned about the Chinese people. They were concerned that the supply chain would be hurt and that Apple could not sell a record-setting number of phones this year.
All of a sudden protests erupted in China. I am pretty certain that the west seeded the protests in China. Last month the Chinese communist party - Let it rip. They removed all restrictions and let people go about life as they pleased.
Then the US media said this is uncalibrated removal of restrictions.
Come on, decide if it is repression or not repression.
Is there a thing called calibrated repression? The answer is yes.
It is where the rich keep the poor poor, forever. Let me think which country is the flagbearer for that kind of repression?
And now…
With the surge in COVID-19 cases, crematoria across China are strained beyond capacity in handling a steady stream of dead bodies. Crematorium workers are working overtime as cold storages are running short of space to deal with the influx of bodies, news agency AFP reported.
Authorities say it has become “impossible” to keep track of rising cases and deaths after the government lifted years of lockdown restrictions, and relaxed quarantine norms and mass testing, following protests in the country.
The issue of strained crematoria is reported from across the country from the northeast to southwest regions. A crematorium worker from Chongqing told AFP that they had run out of space to keep bodies. Authorities in Chongqing told its 30 million people to go to work even if they experience mild COVID symptoms.

And who neighbours China, the country with one and half billion people - another country with one and half billion people - India.
Amid a spurt in COVID-19 cases in some parts of the world, health minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday asked states to remain alert and create awareness about wearing face masks and using hand sanitisers, especially in view of upcoming festivals and new year celebrations.
Making a statement in Lok Sabha, Mandaviya said the continuously evolving nature of the virus poses threat to global health in a way that impacts virtually every country.
The minister said India has been reporting 153 new cases on an average every day as against 5.87 lakh on a daily basis across the world.

And, the havoc being wrought in China is by a new Covid sub-variant.
There have been three detected cases of the Omicron subvariant BF.7, apparently the strain driving a surge of COVID-19 cases in China, in India so far, official sources said Wednesday.
BF.7 is a sub-lineage of the Omicron variant BA.5 and has the strongest infection ability since it is highly transmissible, has a shorter incubation period, and a higher capacity to cause reinfection or infect even those who are vaccinated.

So now here we are. The Chinese airspace is not closed. The rest of the world has removed any vestiges of covid restrictions including the requirements to test, completely.
There are regular flights flying from Shanghai to London / Seattle / Los Angeles.
Happy Holidays!
We are at our own mercy. We need to take care of ourselves.
What happened to that Heard Immunity Theory??
