One of the speakers mentioned an experiment that researchers performed with elevators. To bring down the energy use in the building due to elevators, they increased the time taken for the doors to close. From the normal 5 seconds, they increased it to 22 seconds and saw a 33% drop in lift use.
We are using people’s nature against them to get the desired outcome. That is how we are going to save ourselves from climate change!
