Animals fearing Animals
Which animal do you think is the most feared in the animal kingdom?
Recently, research was conducted by British scientists to see which animal inspires the greatest fear in the animal kingdom.
As a part of the research, they played the sounds of various animals, in what they describe as a “conversation” with each other. So not a roaring lion, but lions growling and communicating with one another.
They played these sounds to Chimpanzees, Gorillas, Elephants, etc.
Across the animal kingdom, the animal that inspires most fear is humans. Humans conversing with one another caused almost every species to take cover or run. Even the big cats run away upon hearing humans.
I wondered why?
Across the world when one animal kills another, it is either for fear/protection or to feed. A big cat like a lion would go on a hunt only to feed itself; it may also kill because it wants to protect its territory or cubs.
Humans on the other hand will kill for sport. Humans are capable of killing for no reason whatsoever. Wanton destruction is a uniquely human trait.
Little wonder the animals react as they do!
